What do I need?
- 2 dessert apples
- 2 ripe Conference pears
- 4 tbsp pure unsweetened apple juice or water
- A generous pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
How do I make it?
- Put the fruit into a saucepan with the apple juice or water, cover and cook over a low heat until tender (about 6 to 8 minutes).
- Blend the fruit to a smooth purée.
Why is it good for my baby?
- Apple and pear purée is an ideal first food, being easy to digest and unlikely to cause allergies.
- Apple purée is also good for the relief of diarrhoea.
