Make your own pompom pets
Use an old ball of wool to create these cute fluffy animals — they’re fun and easy for kids to make!
-
What you need
Cardboard • Wool • Scissors • Needle and thread or glue • Buttons, felt shapes, wobbly eyes or sequins
-
Step 1
Cut two doughnut shapes out of cardboard and place them back to back. Tie a piece of wool through the centre circle and wind it around the card.
-
Step 2
Keep winding the wool until the card is covered and the centre is filled. Then gently pull the pieces of card apart and cut through the wool between the card edges.
-
Step 3
Pass a length of wool between the two circles of card and pull it tightly together around the strands of wool. Tie in a knot.
-
Step 4
Remove cardboard to be left with your pompom! Sew or glue two pompoms together to make a head and body.
-
Step 5
Glue on buttons, felt shapes, wobbly eyes or sequins to finish.
