About Us header imageThe Your family website was launched by the NSPCC in March 2008 for parents of children aged from birth to nine years old. It offers positive parenting advice, fun ideas for families to enjoy together, and forums for parents to swap thoughts and make friends. Along with Your family magazine, yourfamily.org.uk is a vital part of the NSPCC’s FULL STOP campaign, which aims to end cruelty to children FULL STOP.

Your family started off as a magazine, which the NSPCC launched in March 2005 to help mums and dads become more positive parents. The magazine is available free in Early Learning Centre stores nationwide and the mix of real-life stories, celebrity interviews, expert advice and readers' tips have proved phenomenally popular, with a circulation of nearly 400,000.

The aim of yourfamily.org.uk is to inform parents, as well as inspire and entertain. We cover all aspects of family life, including the thorny issues, with an honest approach, expert advice and tips from other parents. By supporting parents in this way, we hope to help create a society where every single child is loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential.

As you browse the site, you’ll see that it’s packed with great features and tools, including our personalised ‘Digital Nanny’ service, downloadable reward charts and instructions and videos for craft ‘Make its’, as well as films of parents getting help with difficult issues.

There are galleries where you can upload your children’s art, and the ‘Well Done Wall’ is the perfect place to put their pictures when they’ve done something to feel proud of. There are also lots of fantastic quick and easy recipes for family meals, suggestions of great days out from other parents, and reviews of what toys are really like. Best of all, our forums are a safe place to swap thoughts and advice, as well as make friends.

We want to provide everything you need to help you be a confident and positive parent. Do let us know what you’d like to read about and we’ll add it! We hope you enjoy the site.
